Landscaping For Privacy
Many areas in you garden are such that they deserve to be a private place. In such cases landscaping plays a major role.
The use of various landscaping elements can greatly help in creating
privacy in your garden.
One of the most common area that deserves privacy is the swimming pool in your backyard. This is especially true if your house shares boundaries with other house plots. In such cases a high compound wall is not always the answer.
A compound wall constructed with brick or stones can very well solve the issue of
privacy, but a wall always lacks the delicacy present in naturally created screen of plants. A
screen created with medium height shrubs which bear flowers is much better than a dead wall. The biggest advantage of using a plant screen is that it blocks the view but does not
block wind flow. That's why a screen created using plants or plants crawling on a wired mesh is best suitable for
privacy creation. Such kind of screen can also be used in front yard where the front yard ends and the side lawn of the
home yard starts.
Tall tree can be used if you have buildings along your house plot. However tall trees can block direct sunlight entering your plot. One of the major things you must consider while planting these
trees is their root system. If the tree is a tall one, it is quite obvious that it's root will be equally deeper. So see to it that the roots won't damage your house building or damage your swimming pool tank.
Also while selecting which types of trees you will be planting get all the necessary information about the tree. This is
because the tree will reach it's desires height after a few years from now. You obviously are
not going to purchase a full grown tree for your garden. Always have a future vision while designing
landscaping for privacy.
