Many people do a mistake of identifying between planting and landscaping. Surely planting plans in you garden can be a joyful experience in itself. if you have ever planted a tree anywhere in your garden probably when you were a child, you will understand what I am saying. remember he joyous feelings you have when the plant had it's first flower. It certainly is a great experience in itself.

But landscaping is different than planting trees in your garden. Yes landscaping does include planting trees but not just that. Landscaping is all about creating a habitable space that has a function and has an aesthetical component attached to it.

Imagine a backyard of a house with casually planted tress all around just like a forest and a backyard with carefully planted tress with areas assigned for lawn, walkways, water elements such as ponds, fountains. the planned backyard is much more useful for human activities than a jungle like backyard.

I am not saying that a jungle is not beautiful. It surely is but may not be quite functional for day to day use. That's the main difference between landscaping and planting. You will have decide between whether you want to grow a beautiful jungle or a beautiful landscaping garden with utilitarian value attached to it. On top of this it is still possible that you may ant to crate a jungle like habitat for sake of some adventure in your garden.
