Front Yard Landscaping Ideas

If your home is an independent bungalow, then most probably your home has a front yard. A front yard is a place that creates the first impression about your home in general. I every city there is a local authority that decided how much distance must be kept fro the road line for starting the construction of the house building. This distance may vary from city to city. But this distance is necessary for future road widening, if it is done.

A front yard in most cases will have an access to your house from in the form of a walkway and a road that leads to the garage for car parking. The remaining area can be used as a beautiful lawn and flowerbeds along its side. the flowerbeds help to define a direction to the flow of movement and also define the pathways.

Depending upon the overall form of your house building you can use trees in the front yard in a way that will not obstruct the view from outside. What does this mean. If your house building a ground floor structure with all the rooms speeded on the plot, then from the outside road it will look like a horizontal stretch of rooms ad roof lines. In that case it is a good idea to plant medium height trees that will slightly cross the roof line. Depending upon the external color scheme of the house building you can even have a tree that bears flowers. Planting such a tree will balance the visual nature of your homebuilding in the front yard.

On the other hand if your home building is tall, then to balance the structural view you can have a tree with low height but wider span. Only look that you don't obstruct the view from inside as well as from outside. While planting big trees always remember that, the taller the tree grows it's root will find their path in the ground more deep. You will have to se to it that they don't obstruct or damage the foundation of the building or grow inside the basement if you have one.

This balancing of the front yard landscaping is just one of the ideas you can use. As mentioned above the front yard creates a first impression about your house. That's why don't overload your home front yard with landscaping plants keep it inviting and maintenance free that will create a lasting impression.
